Gardener's Forum Spring Event - Sat 2nd March

On Saturday 2nd March, the Gardener's Forum is holding it's annual Spring Event.

This year it is an 'Open' occasion, meaning that anyone currently not a member, but would like to try out an event and see what we are all about, will be made most welcome.

The theme is Scottish, previous themes have been Hungarian, Indian and Greek. Attendees are asked to bring a Scottish themed dish for a buffet supper, preferably ready to serve, we have the facility to hold hot food.

Dishes pledged at the time of writing include:

Leek & Potato Gratin

Balmoral Chicken

Beef Casserole & Dumplings

Vegetarian Haggis and Whisky sauce Lasagne

Neeps & Tatties

Cranachan

There will be a quiz with what could be considered fabulous prizes for the winning team!

There is also a competition, where attendees will judge the most popular "My Favourite Scottish Article" - what will you bring?

It's usually a great night, lot's of fun and laughs, good company, good food what more could you want. Just bring your own booze. The price per head is £3.50 payable on the door.

We'd love to see, just let Alan Bone (01450 373 508, audreyebone@gmail.com) know if you want to join us and what dish (Doesn't have to be a hot one) you would like to bring.

We appreciate that this is short notice so we are extending the closing date to Friday 1st March.
